Dr. Thomas Hoang, MD is a board-certified neurologist in New York City. He holds triple board certification in neurology, clinical neurophysiology, and epilepsy from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Clinical Neurophysiology Society. Dr. Hoang was raised in Los Angeles, California where he attended undergraduate training at UCLA. He attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Hoang served on active duty in the United States Navy where he finished a psychiatry internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego before deploying to Iraq as Battalion Surgeon for a Marine unit from Camp Pendleton. After proudly finishing his active duty service in the United States Navy, he completed his medical internship at University of Nevada in Reno, Nevada. He went on to complete his neurology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He stayed on at Rush University for additional fellowship training in the competitive clinical neurophysiology program (NCS/EMG/EEG/EP) lead by internationally renowned neurologists.

At Neurotest of New York, Dr. Hoang provides his clinical expertise in caring for all neurological conditions and performing neurodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCS/EEG/EP) to help his patients find answers they can trust. Too often, he has seen test reports from other clinics that do not make sense. He believes in working closely with referring physicians in a collaborative manner with the goal of helping patients achieve their best life.

Dr. Hoang treats adults with a range of neurological conditions but he is most passionate about epilepsy, migraine headaches, diabetic neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, back and neck pain, Parkinson Disease, tremors and dementia. He approaches each patient as a unique individual and working together, develops a plan using traditional and complementary medicine to help his patients live their best life.
